1. General Refund Policy

PROPORTIONAL REFUNDS

Refunds are calculated based on unused credits. You receive a proportional refund for any credits you haven't consumed.

How proportional refunds work:

  • Fair for everyone - You only pay for credits you actually used
  • Transparent calculation - Refund = (Unused Credits ÷ Total Credits) × Payment Amount
  • Real costs covered - We pay AI providers for credits you use, but refund what you didn't
  • Monthly plans remain flexible - Cancel anytime and get refunded for unused portion

2. EU/EEA/UK Customers - 14-Day Withdrawal Right

Under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers have a 14-day withdrawal right for online purchases.

Your Rights Under EU Law

As an EU/EEA/UK customer, you have a 14-day withdrawal right. When you request a refund:

  • Full refund available if no credits have been used
  • Proportional refund if you've used some credits (you only pay for what you used)
  • Transparent calculation based on unused credit percentage

2.1 How EU Proportional Refunds Work

According to EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(m), we may charge you for services already performed during the 14-day withdrawal period, provided you gave prior express consent.

In practice: When you request a refund, we calculate how many credits you've used and only charge you for those. The rest is refunded.

2.2 Refund Calculation

Refunds are calculated proportionally based on your unused credits:

Refund = (Unused Credits ÷ Total Credits) × Payment Amount

Examples:

Pro Subscription ($5.00, 3000 credits)

Used 1000 credits → Refund = (2000 ÷ 3000) × $5.00 = $3.33

Small Credit Package ($3.00, 1000 credits)

Used 200 credits → Refund = (800 ÷ 1000) × $3.00 = $2.40

No Credits Used

Used 0 credits → Full refund (100% of payment)

Note: This complies with EU law which allows charging for services already performed with your prior consent.

3. Defective or Faulty Service

Under UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a refund if our service is defective, faulty, or doesn't work as advertised.

Defective Service Refunds

If our service has a major technical failure, you are entitled to:

  1. 1. Repair/replacement - We'll fix the issue within 48 hours
  2. 2. If repair fails - Pro-rata refund for affected period

3.1 What Qualifies as "Defective"

Eligible for refund:

  • Service completely unavailable for 24+ hours
  • AI tools not responding to requests
  • Credits deducted but no response received
  • Extension fails to load or function

NOT eligible for refund:

  • ❌ "Change of mind" cancellations
  • ❌ Dissatisfaction with AI responses (third-party providers)
  • ❌ Service interruptions under 24 hours
  • ❌ Browser compatibility issues on unsupported versions
  • ❌ User error or misuse of the service

3.2 How to Report Defects

Email support@progify.tech within 7 days of the issue with:

  • Account email
  • Description of the defect
  • Screenshots or error messages (if available)
  • Date and time the issue occurred

4. Refund Eligibility & Limitations

While we offer proportional refunds based on unused credits, the following circumstances may limit or deny refunds:

Fraudulent or abusive refund requests - Pattern of abuse may result in denial
Account suspended for violations - Terms violations may void refund eligibility
Requests after 30 days - Refunds typically processed within 30 days of purchase
Service interruptions under 24 hours - Short downtime does not qualify for refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Paddle. No fees are charged for approved refunds.

When you purchase a subscription as an EU/EEA/UK customer, you provide explicit consent for us to charge proportionally for credits used during the 14-day withdrawal period:
